How it started.

MKP London LTD operates 4Post Office branches across London and Essex. Our flagship branch sits at the heart of one of East London's most vibrant high streets — Green Street, Forest Gate. Each branch was set up with a clear aim: to provide the full range of Post Office services in a way that actually works for the people who live and work nearby, with longer opening hours, a multilingual team, and none of the impersonal atmosphere you get at larger branches.

We handle everything under one roof. From Royal Mail, Parcelforce, DPD and Evri parcels to banking — cash deposits, withdrawals and cheque deposits — through to Western Union money transfers, foreign currency exchange and Travel Money Cards.

Our identity services are among the most comprehensive of any local branch. Passport applications — both paper and digital Check & Send — DVLA photocard renewals, vehicle tax, document certification, in-branch ID verification, and SIA licence applications are all handled by staff trained specifically for these processes.

We serve diverse, tight-knit communities, and our teams reflect that. We speak multiple languages, understand the needs of families sending money or parcels abroad, and approach every transaction — however routine or complex — with the same calm, professional care.

Founder, CEO & Postmaster

When I founded MKP London LTD in 2014, my vision was simple — to build a trusted, community-focused postal and retail network that people could rely on. What started as a single ambition has grown into a respected group of branches across London and Essex, built on hard work, long opening hours, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to serving diverse local communities. With a background in retail management, I've always believed that success comes from understanding people and delivering service with consistency, care, and integrity. At MKP, we aim to offer more than convenience — we strive to create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and supported. Although the business has grown, I remain closely involved in day-to-day operations, regularly visiting every branch to support our teams and ensure we continue to deliver the high standards our customers know us for. MKP has always been built on family values, trust, and dedication — principles that continue to guide us as we grow.

Postmaster — Leytonstone

With 20 years of experience across the Post Office network, I began my career serving customers on the counter before progressing into a range of Head Office leadership, project management, and change management roles. Today, I'm proud to return to the frontline as the Postmaster of Leytonstone Post Office, bringing with me a strong passion for customer service, professionalism, innovation, and community support. I am committed to delivering the highest standards of service to the local community we proudly serve, while continuing to learn and grow every day within the branch environment. Outside of work, I have a keen interest in all things automotive and enjoy keeping up with the latest developments in the world of cars.

For nearly ten years, I have had the privilege of serving as a constant for this community. What began in 2016 as a new career path — with previous experience in admin and customer service unrelated to the Post Office — has evolved into a lifelong mission. Even when the world slowed down during COVID-19, our doors remained open, a feat made possible by the deep professional and personal bonds I share with my colleagues. Having grown from a rookie into a mentor with the guidance of my original mentor MKP, I take immense pride in supporting and guiding staff, ensuring that the well-being of my fellow colleagues and every local business and neighbour we serve is met with the respect and expertise they all deserve. What I enjoy at work is meeting all the diverse customers who come in and having pleasant conversations with them. Helping customers send parcels all over the world is very interesting too, as I get to learn about different cities and cultures as I work. My interests and hobbies include travelling when I can and experiencing different foods from all cultures.

With a keen interest in customer service and exemplary experience in the industry, being a part of MKP has only added to the long list of growing skills and opportunities. While being a part of team MKP and GSPO it's taught me to manage work load, handle disputes and come out on top while making sure the company grows with me. Having been an introvert and being in a frontline workplace it has helped me to be more confident and also be able to improve my communication skills. It brings me great joy not only to highlight the extraordinary team at MKP working tirelessly and efficiently day and night but also for being a part of this journey.

I have been working at MKP London for the past 7 months and hold an MSc in Banking and Finance, which complements my role within the financial and postal services sector. I was trained directly by the postmaster and owner, Mohasin (“Mo”), which has given me strong practical insight into branch operations and customer service standards. I have gained experience working across multiple branches, including Precinct, Green Street, Queens Crescent, and Leytonstone, allowing me to develop a well-rounded understanding of operations and customer expectations. I take pride in delivering efficient, reliable service and building strong relationships with customers. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active at the gym and maintaining a disciplined lifestyle.

“The best part of this job isn't the range of services we offer — it's the look on someone's face when a complicated process suddenly becomes simple. That's what we're here for.”

What drives us

Helping people is the whole point.

There's something genuinely satisfying about being the branch that gets things sorted. Whether it's someone sending a parcel to family overseas, a first-time passport applicant who's nervous about the process, or a local business dropping off their daily returns — every visit matters to us.

We're proud of the trust this community places in us. People come back not just because we're convenient, but because they know they'll be treated with patience and care. That relationship — built one transaction at a time — is what makes this job worthwhile.

No two days are the same behind the counter, and we'd have it no other way. The conversations, the familiar faces, the moments where we genuinely make someone's day a little easier — that's what keeps us showing up with a smile.

What we offer

Every service, every branch.

What we believe

Four principles that shape everything — from how we train staff to how we answer the phone.

Community first

We're not a franchise or a big-chain outlet. We're a local business run by a local family, serving the same faces year after year.

Real people, always

No automated phone lines, no chatbots. When you come in or call, you get a person who actually knows what they're talking about.

One trip, sorted

Posting parcels, banking, travel money, passports, driving licences, printing — all handled here without an appointment.

Open when it suits you

Monday to Saturday until 8pm, and open Sundays too. We built our hours around the people who use us — not the other way round.
